Dr. Ganga Rao Nadigatla brings over 27 years of R4D experience, including 17 years with CIMMYT and ICRISAT in Africa and 10 years with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. During his work in the last 17 years, he led crop improvement programs across 15 Sub-Saharan African countries.

He has worked closely with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, farmer associations, universities, regional networks, seed companies, the private sector, and value chain actors in seed, grain, and food processing. He has a robust and diverse publication record in research, innovation, and technology delivery, with a focus on deriving enduring positive impacts for farming communities and value chain stakeholders.

Dr. Ganga Rao, who comes from a farming family, holds a Ph.D. in Plant Genetics and a Master's in Genetics and Plant Breeding. He received six Outstanding Partnership Awards for his collaborations with institutions in Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Malawi, and Ethiopia. He was also honored with a team award for fostering open communication and collaboration to promote a shared vision of farming as an enterprise that integrates consumer food choices with sustainable practices.
