Strengthening International Partnerships for Sustainability

At ICBA, our mission of advancing Agriculture for Tomorrow is rooted in collaborating with local farming communities and addressing global challenges. To maximize our impact, ICBA actively engages in strategic and policy-level initiatives worldwide, fostering partnerships that promote resilience, sustainability, and innovation in agriculture.

A notable example is ICBA’s collaboration with the G20 Global Land Initiative under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). This partnership aims to develop national capacities for land restoration. As part of this initiative, ICBA organized the first-ever international training course, “Biosaline Agriculture as an Approach to Land Restoration”, which brought together stakeholders from 19 countries to exchange knowledge and build capacities for combating desertification.

Another recent endeavor includes ICBA’s participation in the international high-level forum of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This forum focused on addressing food security challenges and advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in regions with unique agricultural vulnerabilities.

Through these and other global initiatives, ICBA continues to champion science-driven solutions, policy development, and capacity-building programs that address critical challenges in agriculture and resource management worldwide.
