Mohamed S. Alhammadi held a Ph.D. in Soil, Water, & Environment from the University of Arizona. He joined the College of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University in 2006 as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. During the period 2011-2022, he worked as Director of the Research and Development Department at the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, then held several positions in the fields of legislation, communication, community service, and technical services. Since January 2023, he has worked in the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment as the Assistant Undersecretary for the Biodiversity and Aquatic Life Sector, and now he is working as the Assistant Undersecretary for Food Diversity Sector. Dr. Al Hammadi chaired a number of supervisory and technical committees and through them contributed to the development of many standards, systems and procedures. He also implemented many initiatives and projects, and received several awards for his distinguished contributions.
