Emirates International Date Palm Festival 2015

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the event this year includes popular features like traditional theatre and kitchen, kids workshop and playground, date tree climbing, date tree planting, date tasting oasis and date museum.

Emirates International Date Palm Festival is a family event where children can learn more about the date palm and understand the heritage of their ancestors.

ICBA will be present at the exhibition to showcase its various studies on date palm using marginal water resources such as saline water and its findings in terms of which date palm trees are suited for ornament or for production under stressful saline conditions such as that found in the United Arab Emirates.
